Car rental company for 22 year old?

Any one know of a car rental company who will rent a car to a 22year old?
Most places seem to be 23 and over....
Have insurace for 5 years (named driver) and have license for 3 years.

I have nothing but praise for Enterprise. Don't know about the 22 yr old though.

Avis (or maybe it's Hertz) will rent to under-25's but you're very limited in what you can get. For example, I'm 21 and all they'll give me is a 1.0L Ford Ka. You're also limited to a €1000 damage waiver.

Try Sixt, rented off them for ages last car was good ould ALFA 156 at 24 yr old, also gave me a ZETEC fiesta at 22:) pretty cheap too, but rent AVIS now to suit my frequent flyer card!! Banned form Hertz for life so no praise whatsoever for them!

Europcar (at the airport-try them all, to scope out company policy and then rent elsewhere to avoid airport charge) i think it was. Will cover you, but because im irish and have my own insurance, they forced me to upgrade my insurance to Full Comp and transfer it to the rental car. Cost to me from insurance company was about 80 quid for a few days. im 22. Got astra 1.4l.

I've rented off Dan Dooley Rentals twice as a 22 year old. First time I got a Mondeo 2.0 TD, second time was a 1.4 Focus. They charge an insurance surcharge of €20 and have a €750 excess. I had no problems with them either time, and would reccomend them.

Their head office is in Knocklong, Co. Limerick, but they have offices in Dublin and Shannon airports too. Look them up in the Golden Pages.

Was a free upgrade from a vectra

Sat - tues hire was in around 140 punts back in 2001.
And as for Hertz.... it's a long amusing story set in Holland involving a 1.2 Corsa & a Picnic table (it fell off a hotel balcony onto the car!) followed by a 1.4 Demio reversing at speed into a police Mondeo :rolleyes:

It's a story I always save up for when people start talking about silly things that happen abroad! Best told after a coupla pints

Afraid I can't..... it doesn't translate well to text

Especially as it requires various hand gestures & off course dramatic pauses!
