CM4 oddities.

I've been playing away with CM4 and just completed my first season (it takes much longer with the highlights option).

I've run into a few problems that were not really evident in the first game.

Anyway, I've just won the first division with Forest and accumulated a good deal of money along the way (thanks to two very good cup runs and some transfers).

Anyway, despite this, I have no money available for new transfers for the premiership and no money to renew contracts or lure new players (I'm about to lose my assistant).

In CM3, you could request more money and when the board said no, you could give them an ultimatum. In CM4 you can request more money for wages or transfers but if the board says no, you're stuck.

As it is I've had 5 requests turned down, and not been sacked (they are still delighted with my performance). Any ideas on how to get more cash out of them without cheating?

Go and have a look at your club finance screen.
How much is your Club's Bank Balance?
How much outstanding debts do you have?

If you've feck all money in the bank account, then the boards won't be giving you much money for buying people then will they?
As far as I can remember Forest have huge debts, I think in CM4 they are paid off monthly, this is probably a big big drain on Club resources.

It also depends on the attributes of your Board/Chairman, he can be a skinflint or a bit flush with the cash.

You might have to sell (more) before you get cash to buy or offer new contracts

You can still ultimatims in CM4. After you request something from the board. A news items appears and done the bottom right hand corner should be a button to press to give a ultimatium(sp?)

The latest CM4 patch is out now. Its EP4 and brings the game version up 4.0.7 . Its supposed to be a real improvement.

10M outstanding debts but 14 Million in bank.

I reckon there will be cash injections over the summer (usually are) and the only money they will release for transfers is money recouped from sold players.

They won't budge on the wage structure either.

Unfortunately I don't actually have anyone else to sell, I'm down to a first team squad of 16 players for a premiership assault.

I think not.

heh - that was a bit of a joke that was supposed to be kept internal but got checked in by mistake. It was changed immediately, so very few people would have actually seen it!

Anybody any ideas as to why my Manager points keep getting reset to zero ? At the moment, I an only saving using autosave but I may have to take to saving more often to ensure that after they go down, I can go back to a time when they were better.

any clues anybody ??

have you started a new game with EP4 or continued on an old game.

Its recommended to start a new game as all the EP4 changes are implemented.

Anyone else noticed an incredibly annoying bug in the training facility? It happens when I create custom schedules. I created schedules called Defence, Attacking Midfield, and Midfield. I then went to create one for Forwards, and I spent a good while doing it out and named it 'Forwards'. On the training screen there were two training schedules name Midfield. If I clicked on either of them, they both contained the Forwards schedule and were both called Forwards on the editing screen!!!

Needless to say, it pissed me off greatly as I now have no specialised training schedule for my forwards and it's impossible to create one :mad:

Is this a known bug and, if so, does EP4 fix it?
