I bought a IR keyboard (Stealth Airboard) yesterday and I have to say it's k i c k a s s!!!

Now here the problem, the keyboard has an inboard mouse (I-Point) and according to the manual as long as the original mouse isn't using the COM1 port I can use both mice together (mouse when I'm close up, keyboard one when I'm lounging on the sofa). Problem is it doesn't want to work :/

What I think is the problem is that the modem is a plug and play one and wants to sit on COM3 which would interfer with COM1? This used to be the case in the old days(you'd think someone would fix it by now). The modem is a lucient 56K P&P.

so my question is before I spend hours rooting about on the net looking for the answer is, has anyone else got any ideas on how to fix this? (please proper answers and dont turn this into a smiley competition )

    Hobbes.
