If you're bored at work why not take the summer off, get a part-time job, go out meet friends, walk in the park, just relax. That's what i'm doing at the moment and i'm loving it :)

isnt it amazing how when monty gives the muppets a warning, the spam begins?

Anyway, one thing that bores me incredibly is when Im outside and theres sfa to do.. and kicking a ball about gets so tiresome after a while.

    [Nervous Breakdown Starting]
    I dunno,

where im working now, office is stiflingly hot, everyone is working away, im a developer in the IT dept of a financial company, and all i want to be is in australia or america surfing, climbing anything out doors and interesting, almost joined british army last year!!!

They spend all day waffling bout squash/tennis and dublin GAA team and their kids and partners, what new kit they bought for their pc or tv cinema system or car or....BORING....

I was outta IT work for a few months and worked in a factory/warehouse, I know i hated it there, but the craic was 90 as they say!

Now every morning i come in, sit down, switch on pc, check emails, read boards, surf net (on the sly) pretend to be busy, but to be honest, i dont have a breeze about what im supposed to do, they just threw some reports at me and expect me to know how to change them using VB and SQL, ive no interest in even figuring out how to change them, i just want out of this city slicker "My cars bigger than yours" crap, so many ars*holes working round here.

I just hate people who live their little sheltered lives around their job and never get the big picture. They dont understand that I dont socialise with them cos i already see them 5 times a week, why would you work with people who are BORING the nuts off you all week and THEN hang out with them??

FFS! They make me feel like crap cos Im not interested in the things they like, id rather hang with my mates or girlfriend play soccer, watch friends, go for a pint, drive, play PC, head out for a walk across the beach, cycle, go running, not sit in a pub with a bunch of boring knobs who pretend that outside work theyre really very interesting.

Unfortunately the only thing keeping me here is the cash (pays bills that it), i think ive decided that 1 cert, 1 diploma, 1 degree and 2 years work experience later, Computer Programming is not for me.... Im sure they must realise i feel this way, aint nothing i can do tho......

    maybe i need help???

Morphéus, I doubt whether you need help. I'm in the same boat. Job suck the big one, collegues aonly talk about irish music and "the match". I'm just sitting here wasing the day away. I have applied for a support job, because I would rather have some job satisfaction at a lesser pay, than sit here turning into a vegetable with slightly more money to spend.

I am also doing some studying, which takes my mind of the clock.

im so bored that im actually falling asleep and its only... CHRIST its only 11am, no way, cant last.... too warm.... now theyre asking me why i dont want to go to the next dublin game.... ARG!! how bout im not earning as much as you and cant easily afford it and would rather play tiddley winks on my tod than sit in a pub and then a football stadium with you....

light at the end of the tunnel is company paintball day... and there WILL be much carnage done by me, im renting TWO guns.... agh ha ha ha haaaa..... revenge is sweet.... i can taste my deliverance.... boring p*ssies will PAY for wrecking my head.....

but how do i get thru the boredom.... how do i make my day more interesting???:(

before you go to the paintball day, buy your own stash of ammo, and pop em in the freezer for a couple of day or so.
