    I've heard a rumour that...

    a) Ferrari are shifting Massa back to Sauber in 2004
b)Heidfeld will oust Firman at Jordan who
c)will be using the customer Mercedes Benz power unit.

Makes a lot of sense! Heidfeld has strong M-B links lest we forget... I hope he gets to sit in the Silver Arrows when McLAren finally realise DC is no longer deserving of a Top 3 drive in F1. I wonder will flav ever let go of Alonso? That boy is MEGA!!!!

LAtest reports suggest Jordan might run the Mp4-17D chassis, Merc engine, Giancarlo and Wurz/Hedifeld nect year... making Jordan the bespoke Mercedes Junior team!

I heard the MB-Jordan story mentioned during commentry in todays race, as it was noted that the Cosworth engine is a dog.

All credit to Mercedes they are the only manufacturers that are willing to comply with the FIA's plan to supply more than one team. Eddie Jordan was saying at the Ring yesterday that they would consider a new supplier for next season after Cosworths poor performance and empty promises this season.

Who knows maybe DC might even end up in a Jordan. Can't see him lasting after this season.

There's a few Mercedes affiliated drivers that could possibly fit into a junior team setup. Nick Heidfeld, as far as I know is still tied in some way to Merc and Massa is taking one of the Sauber seats next year. Gary Paffett is currently in limbo after being considered briefly for the Jordan earlier drive this year, losing his F3000 drive and is now with Merc in the DTM. He's also English, which B&H seem to like, usually. Alexander Wurz has been known to have impressed McLaren as a test driver. As previously mentioned, Coulthard's position at McLaren is looking shaky given his recent lack of performance.

It's also entirely probable that Fisichella could go the other way. He's not happy at all with the current Jordan setup and is *itching* for a top 3 drive. He even mentioned paying for a Ferrari drive...

One thing to bear in mind is the tyres. The original McLaren MP17 was designed for Bridgestones and hence it's poor performance last year on Michelins. The revised (MP17D) version suits the Michelins much better and has been no slouch this season. The problem is Jordans long term links with Bridgestone.

Fisi's now in talks with sauber - ferrari relationship thingy - and don't forget Alex Wurz as a mercedes contracted driver, he'd be awesome with jordan! =) Provided they had a car that can move faster than a Nissan Micra!!
