...InFlames...? Not ´really..this is heavy metal. This is really the country where musicians are true Metallers! So rare these days. Imagine Judas Priest, King diamond, Iron Maiden... well you're not dreaming this band kick ass! True old Metal legend. This is not a copy but a perfct union of musicians and a singer that make live this old Heavy Metal and come back to the roots!!! check for yourself and you'll be blown away by the exact timber of voice and the music. Excellent!!!

In Flames play heavy metal. And they are influenced alot by those bands too.

Listen to the following and say that again:
    Biosphere
    Dead Eternity
    Upon an Oaken Throne

And more or less the whole Subterranean album, the most recent In Flames album (reroute to remain) isnt In Flames at what their best at :)

Got their song 'Sudden Impact' off that site, getting 'Machine Invaders' as I type, and I have to say, they dont sound impressive, to put it plainly their vocalist is pants, its a Hammerfall/Freedom Call sounding singer, trying to sound, for lack of a better word, evil. Their guitaring so far isnt bad, no real large solo's, but it sounds very heavily influenced by Iron Maiden, maybe once I listen to Machine Invaders my views will change.

Now that Ive listened to 'Machine Invaders' I have to say I dont like the singer even more than before, however they had a decent solo in this song, far better than the one in Sudden Impact, however from the 2 songs I have heard of these guys Ill say I dont like what I hear, the singer is simply too bad however the guitaring half decent in place's, you will get better with most other swedish bands (especially Arch Enemy, love their style of guitar work, the 'Beast of Man' solo is brilliant as are most of their solo's and riffs).

I may have only listened to two of their songs, but what I can say is it doesnt sound anything like other great Swedish metal bands (Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, In Flames etc), it sounds more like a British metal band, not a particularly good one either.
