    well it seems that you can only send business cards? Is this all you can send?

    Well that depends on what you are using and what you are connecting to.

    If it is a mobile phone connecting to another mobile phone then you can also exchange other phone numbers and ring tones or even play games.

    If you are connecting from a mobile phone to a computer then with the correct software you can backup your phone book and messages or create your own logos and picture messages etc.

    You can do loads with infrared. :)

    Also, if you use the mobile phone with a PDA or laptop, you can use the modem on the mobile phone to dial up an ISP and connect to the internet.

    You can send absolutely anything over infraRed..... Its just a matter of what is permitted by the handset.
