There's a bit about a new live action Transformers movie at
AICN (jebus I hate that site).

    Sounds f*cking cool :)
<snip>Angry Films topper Don Murphy (whose next film is "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen") and writer-producer Tom DeSanto ("X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United") have teamed to produce a feature-length, live-action movie based on the popular brand.<snip>

    Something I just noticed..
    "Transformers" (1984)
    [TV-Series 1984-1987]
    Also Known As:
    "Super God Robot Force" (1984)

    Kinda related..
They're making a live-action film of "Garfield" (imdb)

    Weird thing I noticed..
Bill Murray is doing the voice of Garfield in the Movie. In the TV series, Garfield was voiced by the guy who did the voice of Peter Venkman (Bill Murray's Character) in the cartoon of Ghostbusters.

Well, I thought it was weird.

    More news here

and to put those of you fearful of the 'cast' choices for the new film .....

Although the "Transformers" toys have changed over the years — from animal shapes to the current series of futuristic machines — Murphy said the movie would be based on the original lineup.

/meh wipes away a tear of joy

    w00t :D

For this film to work, its gonna need a massive budget imo.

If they don't get Peter Cullen to do the voice of Optimus Prime and Frank Welker to be Megatron, I will personally kick Hasbro's ass.

BTW, Hasbro sold the rights to the film about 6/7 months ago.

    As Optimus once said:
"All we need now is a little energon....and a lotta luck."
