Drogheda 6-0 St Benildus.
One of our nightmare Saturdays; at least 11 players unavailable, and two subs needed by the Ennis, so we only travelled with 5, including three subs.
Please Note that Blanchardstown have moved premises. We now meet at Coolmine Community School. This is very close to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre (on a road behind the Draoicht.if bussing.
See www.blanchardstownchess.com for location details
Rd 2: Benildus 2 Trinity 4. Trinity's round 1 match is postponed until some time in November.
Naomh Barrog 3.5 Gorey 2.5
Gorey 2-4 St Benildus
Trinity-Drogheda was played last night; 4.5-1.5 to Trinity.
St Benildus 3-3 Malahide
Blanchardstown 4 - 0 Trinity
2 games still to play.
Huge result for us, Trinity missing some of their big hitters
Gorey 1.5 Trinity 3.5 with one game postponed to Tuesday.
Very sporting board 4 for Gorey offered a draw in dead drawn ending where our player was below a minute and would almost certainly have lost on time before he could eliminate the material.
Final scores: Blanchardstown 5 Trinity 1 (our top three were away); Gorey 1.5 Trinity 4.5.
What happened in Malahide v Drogheda on Saturday?
Malahide v Drogheda was a draw per Drogheda's website
I see it's up now on the league site but Malahide v Naomh Barrog (round 3) is not yet there.
Trinity 6 Malahide 0 on Tuesday night. Can Elm Mount match this tonight against wooden spoon candidates Inchicore?
It looks like a close finish in the division is likely. We have yet to play the other top three teams (Elm Mount, Dublin and Bray/Greystones) but they have all met each other.
