Thunder and lightning here in south Kerry the last 30 minutes or so. Made putting the kids to bed a traumatic affair for all concerned.

Detected sfeics so far, heard a few rumbles here near Tralee a short time ago but did was not detected. Great towering clouds about today.

That area of lightning wont reach land. Its a very active front approaching the West Coast so i would expect sporadic sferics.

Flash of lightning in north east galway +a lovely roll of thunder just now. Blitzertung shows it struck in Dunmore town. Burst of hailstones now. Noice!!
