A coulpe of lads from the club did the 120km route yesterday.
They said The Cut was grand but save something for the
last 30km hard slog. All looking good for Sunday and forecast giving
a dry day.

Thanks for that marathon50, they would have finished into a stiff headwind though which would make it a slog alright but the prevailing wind will help everyone home on Sunday with a bit of luck.

Hi folks, Please be advised that the 120km route has been slightly altered due to unforseen roadworks. I have provided a link for those of you that like to upload to your Garmin. This adds about one km to the overall distance so no drama's really but if you have any questions fire away.

well done today guys - really enjoyed the spin.
Ended up doing the 60k event with the wife as she was on her own.
Nice route with good roads all the way round, and the foodstop was really well stocked - hope we left some food for the 120k guys ha!
The wife really enjoyed the event, and as we kept a nice group together all the way round she was delighted to come back with a nice high average speed!

That feed back at the finish was fantastic!!

Will be back again next year for sure

Great spin today. Weather was excellent other than a breeze that seemed to hit us at every turn. Even the Cut was relatively benign in the sunshine!
Top class organisation and a fine curry to finish.

Hi folks,

On behalf of the organizing committee of the Lap of Laois I would like to thank all who came along to support our event today.

We had a fantastic turnout on a beautiful day and judging by the feedback everyone seemed to enjoy the cycling, the food and the whole day in general.

All the proceeds from today's event goes directly to the aspect unit for Autism in the S.O.S Kilkenny which relies on fundraising in order to develop their services for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, so thanks to everyone who made today possible .

See you all in 2018.
