For health and safety reasons apparently
Some Olympic athletes would be excluded under these "Health and Safety" rules.
You would think giving a maximum waste size would have been more sensible.
Don't they have adjustable steering wheels?
Yes I think most do, perhaps it's to do with getting in and out of the actual driving area?
AFAIK it's to do with the safe operating load for the driving seats. It used to be 23 stone however there were a number of seat mechanisms that collapsed/failed in service, something the manufacturers attributed to excess weight on the seat, 6/7 years ago Stagecoach gave overweight drivers an ultimatum - lose the weight or lose your job.
It's enforced over here too, I know of people made to lose weight before passing the pre-employment medical for CIE.
By volume, or weight?
Yeah, in the fields of Martial Arts such as Judo where some extra weight is an advantage.
Hi any know what the weight restrictions body mass, are for Dublin bus ?
CIE pre employment / appointment medical is usually a BMI of 30/31... anything above that is a refusal to pass; unless they're badly stuck for drivers of course
