Had one of these for a few weeks back around 1997, it was a great drive, comfy, fast, I liked it a lot.
Update for anyone who is interested.
Advertised at 1pm today and it drove out my driveway by the first-caller at 8pm, and not gone far either! happy days
I, oddly, have vivid memories of a black one with black leather that my Dad had on loan for a while at around the same time. It must have left a real impression on him because his next car was a Honda Legend in 1999

Shame I was dying to look, buy it
This looks fantastic. Good find.
Love the comment "Surprisingly economical".
Any ideas what it might average?
Seat on the jag looks like its done 200k
The beige leather shows up the smallest spec of dirt and highlights wear lines more. Still, you could spend a few hours cleaning and conditioning to put it right.
Nah that Jag looks minty mint. Those cream seats deffo highlight wear more. I'd be more worried if the bolster was worn or cracked. If I didn't already have one I'd be straight off to look at that one. I wanted the AWD version when I bought too.
The AWD aspect of the X type is nice but personally I think the S type is a nicer car. Inside especially
I wouldn't worry about the beige leather. I have an x-type myself with beige weather, with 198k Miles and the interior / seats are still fairly impeccable. The leather does not really show wear and tear.
