How good is that 18 quid black can oil? It has the VW 502.00 specs but I don't want to buy bad stuff.

I've been using various Halfords fully synth for over 12 years. I usually get the Ford or Vauxhall 5w30/40 as it's often cheaper than the regular flavour.

If it meets your spec then it's ok.

Any offer on oil for an 05 petrol BMW? I normally fill with 0w30 Castrol fully synthetic, but might sell the car this year.

I've bought this stuff for my 325i. It's BMW LL04 spec. So it should be perfect. I've been using halfords oil for 5 years in my car. Never any issues.

I've been using the Ford spec synt oil in my HDi Citroens for a while. It's been running fuss free.

Same I stockpiled it when it was €10 a pop as the Mrs is going through 2 oil changes a year - No hassle in a 1.8 gen 8 Civic

At first I didnt think it was worth it, but for an all in one starting out kit, its not too bad, if it was €50 in the past on sale for 60 seems still ok, especially as it is now back up to €102.
I dont really like those type of axles stands with the pin, but have two, Ive another type I prefer but cant find it, someone gave me a padded trolley like that, but I found no use for it and it takes up a lot of space.
That said, I havent compared prices to just buying those items separately elsewhere.

60 is grand for it, just pointing out it regularly comes down. Before Xmas it was50 I think. Have one myself. Grand once your not lifting a land rover or something

You're dead right, didn't pay too much attention as I'm not interested myself, but now I see they come with zero tools, so please disregard my last post, not a bargain amount them
