It's some sort of 1969 Volkswagen
From previous ads I remember it as being a space frame chassis.
It's a lovely car but there are two things wrong with it as far as I can see.
The registration doesn't show up.
A Rover v8 nice and all as they are doesn't do it justice, a Mercedes or BMW V12 needed there.
Or even something like this....
You really, really, don't want to be driving a homemade car knocked up from a kit that came from god knows where with that engine in it. The Rover V8 is a nice gentle engine that gives the feeling of power, without actually being powerful. That's why it is used in so many V8 upgrades of classics (like the MGB etc.). It doesn't require a strong chassis or powerful breaking like a high-powered engine would. Stick some 430bhp engine in that thing it is likely it will disintegrate the first time you push it hard through a bend.
Its nothing like the VW
SP2 is a far nicer car altogether
After all it is based on the type 3.
Another elephant for sale!
Wonder how that happened?
And the black cloth covers, which is not suspicious at all!
was the estate out a year after the saloons were launched? I'm thinking '85 ish maybe
This is a real survivor. Love it
Genuinely is rust free. Used to belong to a friend of mine.
lovely car, but good god it wouldn't pull the skin off a banana
you'd be faster walking
No service history mentioned and it'll be a money pit, but I'd still love one.
Needs to put in lock-up until it hits 30. Otherwise it's gonna cost someone 16 grand to tax it until then!
No NCT for 18 months... what an beast though.
Built in CARK91 with a 6310i
Mine still works and the battery easily lasts a week!
Thought that was my mates old car. We used to do the odd track day in it for fun
