can anyone tell me where this is please?
i believe its somewhere between ennis and limerick
Never heard of it. What is the significance of it?
If you are willing to come and see it, and bring a bus load with you, it's in my place. Only a fiver a head. Well worth it. Awsome sight.
thanks for the invite tora bora!
i tell you though, after my lot have blown through, you'll be needing more than a fiver a head for the cleanup!lol
found it thanks.its near newmarketonfergus.
i was in ennis last week and was supposed to meet some friends there, but seeemingly i went right past it. it's now called carraigoran.
i'll know next time.hopefully there again in a couple of weeks
What's so special about this rock?
lol probably nothing pappy.some friends of mine wanted to meet me there on my way back home to dublin.
obviously they chose it as a place only a muppet could miss!
AND I DID MISS IT!!!
I think they're trying to put you in a home.
carraigoran ...... never heard of it referred to as Odran's Rock ...... although I can now see the connection.
All sounds like someone pulling you leg giving that name ...
I've a feeling someone went a bit mad with an Irish/English dictionary, Carrigoran would be 2 words, Carrig and Oran, the first being Irish for Rock and the second being another version of Odhran, I've never heard anyone reference it as Odhran's Rock and I've spent a lot of time down there (my grandparents were there for a while)
yeah apparently there's a HUGE blue motorway type sign.the overhead type!
must have got distracted by the talent as i drove along lol
Spelling on the road sign is Carraic Fhuaran
hey guys i found it this time thanks.
how could i miss a sign this big!
mind you if my friends had said newmarket i would have deffo found it [surely? lol?]
