Can anyone recommend a cheap(ish) tablet with the following stats:
* Ability to run Skype
* Front-facing camera for Skype (doesn't have to be high-quality)
* Capacitive screen
* Preferably 1024 X 768 rather than lower rez (willing to compromise on this)
EDIT: What do people think of the LY-F1 for example? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAW79YDMYrI
What is your budget ?
Was hoping not more than €150.
What do you think of the Scroll Excel? It's the top-selling one on dabs.ie; seems to get decent reviews and it's €125:
Or should I stretch to something like the Blackberry Playbook for €200? http://komplett.ie/Komplett/product/tablets/80005671/blackberry_7_playbook_16gb/details.aspx
EDIT: The fact that the Blackberry appears to come with Documents to Go preinstalled would be a bonus.
Though is the Blackberry Playbook still crippled if you don't have a tethered phone?
This gets good reviews on Amazon,
Seems to tick all the boxes except the one on resolution which you said you're willing to compromise on.
Also fits your budget.
Thinking of getting one of these myself, because I don't want to shell out big money on a tablet.
The price does not justify spending 150 Euros tbh.
I have links to a few good websites to buy cheapish tablets
Given that budget and the fact they are cheap tablets I would strongly recommend you
buying from Amazon directly.
At least you know that you get your money back if something goes wrong.
Thanks for that; unfortunately they don't appear to ship to Ireland.Do you know anyone who does?
I don't know myself but I see the poster above, Jarren has made a suggestion.
Think I'll order it from there myself.
Any one come across one of these....
for sites outside EU you will most likely get caught for customs.
Purchased the Ployer Momo11 from ebellking last week it was delivered today very happy with it so far. Thanks for the link jarren as this was the thread I read and decided to buy from this company
That's fairly quick, spuddy01, "today" was Tuesday — were you caught for VAT/duty? Was the item posted from HK or the UK?
