I sadly got rid of my xbox ages ago due to a baby. However I am starved of a shooting game.
I have a fairly run of the mill laptop. Its an Asus X52F notebook . It has a P6100 @ 2.00ghz and 4gb ram.

Will I be able to play any games? Please help.
you can pretty much get away with Counterstrike 1.6 or Condition Zero. Modern shooters are more or less out of contention. You can try CS Source but I promise no results. You can check on the TF2 forum over on steam to see about that as well: the game is free to play and lots of people tweak their old ass computers to render the game under dx8 and a few other things.
"Intel® HD Graphics" = no graphics card. The "builtin" Intel one is rubbish. As Overheal says, old games will probably be fine. Modern stuff not so fine.
Well it also depends on the game. Some titles are better optimized than others. Mass Effect etc. will gladly take to Intel HD on lower settings.
you could try this http://www.techradar.com/news/computing-components/graphics-cards/how-to-make-an-external-laptop-graphics-adaptor-915616 to add a real graphics to your laptop for playing proper shooters
Might as well use a desktop as use that.
That's a link to an external graphics processing unit thread. Though, I'd say use money you got from selling le xbox, sell off that laptop, buy an entry level one. The ones with the Sandy Bridge processors usually have the Intel HD 3000 integrated ones, and they're pretty ok to play most curent shooters at lowest settings.
wolfenstein enemy territory OP, as a measure of you're talent folks, play Cod and get 50-0, then try and repeat in Wolfenstein.... you'll never play them rubbish games anymore...
it is as always completely Free to play.
If you happen to have a good internet connection, you could always try Onlive! It's got a couple of decent shooters like Deus Ex and UnrealTournament.
If not, you're very limited in what you can play.
As other posters have said, try the original Counter Strike.
Doom 3 runs on very modest hardware (64meg Vram) and still holds up today.
there's a demo version available so you can always try before you buy.
Steam are selling the full game.
You say that so nonchalantly: when Doom 3 was new it forced my PC into overheat protection after about 15 minutes of play. Had to upgrade from the Geforce 4 MX 440 to a Geforce ...eh, something in the 5000 or 6000. Good times. That was what.. 10 years ago?
The original Half Life. I mean, the graphics are eye-stinging, but it's a really good shooter, and it flew along on a Dell Latitude C400.
Dont know if the OP still comes back here, but the daily deal on steam is Wolfenstein 3D
If Doom 3 doesn't work out you could try Half life 2, Nolf 1 and 2, Operation Flashpoint, the original Call of Duty, Medal of Honour Allied assault, basically any classic fps with the last 10 years. You'll find some real gems if you lower you're expectations.
