Mop Chop! I know, I was kidding... Any other suggestions?
I use to swear by trinity barbers, across from trinity college. Great spot and a great cut guaranteed, but for 20 euros...That was back in the celtic tiger days...
Now, after a stint of trying several different places all around the northern side of the liffey, the best place i've encountered is the barbers in phibsboro beside DesKellys (the old ice rink) 10Euro, sound guy that works on his own and never more then 1, max 2 in the queue. I'll go there until either he's not, or im not, there/here anymore.
Hopefully both of you will be around for a long time! A bit out of my way, but thanks for the tip.
very good barber shop , use to be owned by my boss
i do cuts for my friends etc for a tenner , what ever you want with a wet towel neck shave
just to point out, you pay for your barber not the cut, its the barber that cuts you not the "tools " anything above 15 for a cut is ridiculous
if you want a good cut ,dont go to any of those €5 places, ray charles could do a better job, or you can just go and get a shaver in argoos like what said above , for 20 bats and make a balls of it your self
i live in town if your around id cut you in my gaf
Merchants Barber in Temple Bar is the only place i go now.
It's about 20 euro for a wash and cut.
I dont mind paying that amount, I've had to go to other local barbers that are around the tenner mark before and there is a noticable difference in the cut.
Dublin Barber on Aston Quay
Eleven euro dry, fourteen wash and cut. Reasonable if slightly on the high side
Good service, good chat, all you want
The Basement Barbers in the GPO arcade is very good. €12 for a cut. It's downstairs beneath the hairdressers.
Cowboys and Angels apparently do a good gents cut on south william street. Starting at €55. Bargain.
King Barber, Nth King St,€15 wash/cut. Turkish Barber, make sure you get Jimmy (the owner) ex Grafton Barber.
the owner of this establishment needs to be shot if he is charging 55 euro for a gents cut
Wow, I thought you were taking the pish tenandtracer, but it's there on their website. Must have a look in the next day I pass, see how many fellas are in the place.
Anyway, I use Sams Barbers on the quays or the Merchant in Templebar. Yes I could get a fiver cut or a tenner cut, but I have longish, curlier hair and any time I've gone to the cheap places to save money, I usually end up having to go back to Sams or the Merchants to get it fixed. I don't know if the others I've tried don't know how to cut curly hair properly or just not arsed doing the admittedly bigger work for a fiver and are trying to put me off going back.
I used Ed's on Abbey St. Down the Luas lines opp Jervis. Ed himself does a job! 9:50 dry cut!
Think its a she to be honest. Price is on the right side of this page.
Not just €55, but FROM €55.
and for a business charging so much for its services the website sure does look like trash, they could take some of that huge profit margin and pay someone to not make the website look like soemthing from a cheesy 80s porno movie
I've tried a good few places over the years, from €10 euro places upwards but I've finally found somewhere that consistently gets it right: Morgan 4 Men on South William St. It's €18 including wash but I honestly don't mind paying that as I know I'll be happy with the end result and he knows what I like as well.
