That Jersey was only worn by Martin Mac in the All-Ireland because white was the traditional goalie jersey but we were playing Kildare so it had to be changed to avoid a clash of colours. Would be nice to see a change all the same

Oh right didnt know that actually, would be cool to resurrect the green shirt all the same, I hate the way we usually just have the opposite of the outfield jersey for a goalie jersey

Didn't Waterford wear blue shorts in the early 80s too, like against Cork in the 1982 Munster Final?

I think that Clare used to wear white shorts, not sure thats correct though, maybe there was a clash or something, although the GAA wouldnt usually be too concerned about that, they didnt seem too bothered when limerick and kerry played in a couple of munster finals in the 2000's wearing almost the exact same jerseys

Clare had white shorts alright, they changed to blue during Justin McCarthy's time in charge on the suggestion of Ger Loughnane, and Justin repeated the trick with Waterford. Not sure why or for how long they had blue shorts in the early 80s.

That's a proper Wexford jersey, back to the days long ago when we had a decent team!!!!

The more they mess about with the design the worse we get!!!

The senior away is better than the home at least!

And the sponsors logo should always be complimenting the colours & design not clashing with it like the current logo. Doesn't look right!!!

Waterford also changed to blue shorts for a decade its back to white now! Always wondered if O,Neills/ Azzuri would ever go down the soccer route for goalie shirts like illuminous yellow shirts and funky stuff like that , might sell well.

God help us all if they do!

Former Armagh goalkeeper Benny Tierney used to wear loud jerseys, as did an old Louth keeper, can't remember his name

True, even earlier Wexford jerseys the yellow was only on the top 1/4 of the jerseys at the shoulders.

Meath keeper forced to wear a red bib today?

A complete joke but GAA isnt the only sport with lack of foresight in this area. However, surely these kit men sit down and work out the perms, combs and hypothetical scenarios of who they potentially could play and what kit they would need for that day.

We (Carlow) usually wear a yellow keeper's jersey, but simply had a black alternate jersey if we played anyone wearing yellow.

It was strange enough to see that considering meath recently released a supporters jersey which would not have caused a clash with the wexford jersey.

Also the use of the above jersey in an actual game may well have helped to increase sales of the jersey if somebody had been thinking as the idea of wexford turning up in a jersey containing large amounts of yellow would not have been much of a surprise.

I remember in previous years (when sponsored by the comer group) there were separate yellow and white versions of the goalkeepers jersey

To be honest it was probably just an oversight by the county board / backroom staff and could easily have been avoided.

And before that, there were grey and blue versions of the 09 jersey
