Hey would like to in time build a new computer for gaming (BF3). I have found the following components on dabs.ie and would like opinions on them and if everything is compatible. Am I missing anything?

Intel Core i7 2600k, Asus Sabertooth P67, Patriot Viper 8GB Bundle

EVGA GeForce GTX 580

Corsair 800D - Obsidian Case

Corsair 850W Corsair Modular PSU

Seagate 1TB Barracuda

Antec Kuhler H20 920 Water Cooler

Also is there anywhere this stuff can be gotten cheaper?

You're missing an optical drive, so that comes up to roughly €1500 if you include a cheap one.

However, you're spending a lot of money where it isn't needed. The i7 isn't any better than the i5 for gaming, and is actually worse in some cases. The GTX 580 is expensive and crossfire 6870s destroys it. While the case is very good, its ridiculously expensive. 850W PSU isn't needed for a single 580 and isn't enough for SLI. Water cooling is a hassle and is unnecessary for Sandy Bridge really. Its also terrible to be spending that much and not get an SSD.

This build would blow it away gaming wise:

Total build cost: €1,429.58 + €30 shipping
Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155€184.21
ASRock P67 Extreme4 (B3), Sockel 1155, ATX€133.61
8GB-Kit G.Skill RipJaws-X PC3-12800U CL9€43.34
2 x Club 3D Radeon HD 6970 Dual Fan, 2048MB GDDR5, AMD Radeon HD 6970, PCI- Express€292.02
NZXT Phantom Big Tower - Black , ATX, ohne Netzteil€139.73
XFX PRO750W Core Edition Full Wired Power Supply€78.75
Crucial M4 128GB SSD 6,4cm (2,5")€166.94
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1000GB, SATA II (HD103SJ)€48.29
Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA€16.79
Scythe Mugen 3, für alle Sockel geeignet€33.88

Hmm ok i think i'll go with the i5 processor then if theres no real difference. Is that motherboard much better? I like the coaxial port at the back but i like the cooling of the sabertooth.

Im not too big a fan of that tower, i'll stick with the coolermaster as i like that look.

I would have plans to get a second 580 at some stage as i just prefer Nvidia and their drivers etc. Would i need a 1000w psu then?

I wont need a disk drive as I have a few already that I can move across. Is that Mugen heat sink ok for overclocking yeah?
