Hello All,
I'm in the process of setting up a workshop but need some advice as money is an issue?
I want to buy a good mitre saw such as:

http://www.makita-direct.co.uk/acatalog/Makita_LS1214_Slide_Compound_Mitre_Saw_305mm.html?gclid=CKPm0KL4yasCFSYvmAodpDKt2w

my question is where is a good place to buy one in Northern Ireland ? and is it still worth while?

Thanks in advance

Rob

by the way I'm in Kerry and a day trip to the North isn't out of the question

I would look at second hand stuff first on donedeal. Some great offers there, due to the current climate here as regards construction.

Of course if its a new setup you are starting, then insurance may have an issue with you buying secondhand.

Dewalt radial arm saw, great workhorse. We bought ours new in 1984 for 500 quid. And its still going strong,
and it has had savage abuse through the years. probably cuts more steel box than timber now.
