Monday 21st May
Hmm, I somehow managed to tweak something in my lower back while bending down to get something out of the bottom tray of my fridge there on Saturday. F*ck sake like. I must be getting old or something. I can feel it on the bottom of my right spinal erector and am restricted when i get to parallel in a squat.
It wasn't too bad though after I warmed up but I still wasn't going to do anything serious. It's not major so I won't be getting it looked at. I picked up some anti-inflammatories and am knocking them back as well as applying heat and doing a spot of stretching with anything that targets the area.
All going to plan a medium session on Wednesday, a relatively heavy session on Friday and back to new program on Monday.
I wouldn't have been able for a proper session anyway. The sweat was pumping out of me from hoochin' at the weekend.
*sigh* woke up this morning f*cked with a head cold. I'm giving up.
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference."
Yeah I have a head cold today too but I went to the gym
Wednesday 23rd May
Ugh woke up this morning after 10 hours sleep with full blown muthaf*ckin' aids. Felt like death. I wasn't going to go training until Ste calling me yella and the good weather changed my mind. I'm happy I did in the end though. Felt good to sweat it out of me. Which I did because ECB was a godamn sauna this evening. On the plus side my back is fine now. Was only a niggle really in the end.
Max reps @ 60kg, 15 reps
Not too weak from lack of training lately. Should be good to go Monday.
Oh dear lord it was HOT!! Dont think Ive ever cursed good weather before but I bloody well was today!
Since I posted that my head cold has turned into a vicious flu. Stupid karma.
i hear zumba's good for head colds...
Friday 25th May
2x1@70kg failed first one
2x3@60kg 2 + 1 pause
3x3@70kg 2 + 1 pause
DB Press @ 20kg
DB Row @ 36kg had to hook grip these
F*ck that sh*t they were savage tonight. I think it was just the first time doing them they felt awful. The split snatch was the same. I was catching them around parallel or just above tonight and no loss of upper back. Was godamn hard standing up with them though so I'm back to my original problem of my legs being too godamn weak. I didn't even have to think about the pull it was so easy getting it to the required height to get under it.
Pause front squats because of Klokov and that fact I won't be doing them in new program. There is no real point since they are as assistance exercise for lifts that I don't do anymore. Back squats for general strength and split squats for specificity.
Finished up with a little superset. I think I may have set a world record. I was going to set some more but I was tired and went home.
New program from Monday.
That was one of your more grrr than emo posts B-)
It's this bloody weather. It's doing strange things to me like making me happy and optimistic.
Sunday 27th May
About 6 hours of football, hurling, bouncey castle, trampolining and eating absolute rubbish at my nephews birthday. Those little bastards do this every other week and I roll in busting heads with no specific training. I'm so godamn Elite.
