Popped over to lidl in rathmines this evening to buy diced beef for my dinner.

Delicious btw, but chewing on the meat I find something hard,

clean it off and it is a gem, a blue gem.

I'll post pics tomorrow, figured it was a cheap piece of glass jewellery that fell off a worker packaging the meat or something but it scratches glass like butter and I cannot mark it with an array of sharp implements.

Will bring it to a jeweller tomorrow and post pics when my housemate gets home and lets me borrow his camera.

EDIT- Can anyone recommend a jeweller around D2 fitzwilliam baggot street area I can go at lunch tomorrow

I came out with a snorkel, some Russian anchovies & a set of tent pegs.
