They seem pretty hell bent on leaving B-Standards behind. They wont budge on that. So disappointing that in form athletes like Jessie Barr and Brian Gregan will be left out (especially considering Jessie is being sent for the relay anyway!!). They've been our best performing athletes of late (along with Britton), while some of our A-Standard runners have not been setting the world alight at all. I can't see why they can't look at current form aswell as A-Standard times. It is such a by-the-book approach.

I feel I've done this to death now, so I'll let somebody else moan, or disagree or whatever.

I take it that there's no commitment for Fionnuala Briton to run all three events she's down for? She can still pick which (if any) events she choose to compete in?

Nah, it will be the 10 and the 5 for her. The steeple clashes with the 10 so that's out.

Maybe just the 10 even.

Ah she'd have nothing to lose running the 5 as it comes after her better event. I'd imagine she will run both the 10 and the 5.

According to most reports she is solely focused on the 10k

Of course she is. It is her best event, and it comes first in the programme. If the 5k came first I would imagine she would skip it to focus solely on the 10. But with the 10 coming first what has she got to lose by running the 5 afterwards? I'd be amazed if she didn't run it.
