I just recently bought a Toshiba 42 3d smart TV... Had nothing but trouble with it, sent it back and got an lg ... currys / PC world .. 42 3d smart... Much smarter than the Toshiba! Much better 3d and it allows you to view anything as 3d ..the Toshiba only allows 3d media... Roughly paid the same for both and currys now give a 50 euro voucher so win win... I've done my research and would highly recommend the lg over the Toshiba models

I notice they're offering free delivery and wall installation, with any TV 46" or over, if you buy a stand or bracket as well: http://www.currys.ie/aspx/homepage.aspx

Would recommend you do a bit of research yourself....this model comes in 40 and 46" size, and it does support 2d to 3d conversion, so whatever series TV you have, it's not from this range. This is an excellent TV for the price, you won't get better for the money. It's an active 3D set and the quality is superb - I was watching Avatar earlier on my TV, which is the one this thread is about, and it's the best 3D I've seen on a TV in the sub 1K bracket. Better than my LG set with active 3D, incidentally.

This particular model also scored excellently in professional reviews.

the TV have a DVB-S & S2 you will not need any sat box anymore
and converter 2D to 3D

I have only 1 question, do you know any cheap compatible active glasses?

I see no mention of a DVB-S(2) tuner?

Also, Freesat has nothing to do with Saorview, one needs a dish, other is terrestrial (via aerial).

Unless im missing something, it is Freeview, not freesat. Big difference.

Its a very highly specced tv ,ticks most boxes.
Only worry is the average Sd performance and weak audio.

I was planning on getting a 50" Panasonic plasma but I might get this instead as Panasonic prices have gone through the roof with the new 2012 models.
