Mother had a 00 red 1.0 one, I though it was great on fuel around 50mpg give or take, nippy enough too for a 1.0 and for a small car it was comfortable.
I would get a diesel for that milage though. Road tax is a killer so don't blame you for going small engine, sickening to pay 600 for a economic 1.9 diesel. I would get a 1.3 diesel Opel/Fiat or a 1.4 diesel Toyota/Skoda Fabia/Polo etc If you could get one cheap enough. http://www.driving.ie/usedcars/index...01214207578037 |

Seats are fairly comfortable in the Yaris and it's roomy enough too in the front. |

Mpg you are looking at approx 53 onwards from what I've seen (not impressed one bit I expect 60 at least). Best to try get a small diesel car as suggested above; something with a 1.3/1.4 diesel engine etc. That will give you decent economy with not much extra tax and cheaper fuel. |
