Race profiles according to gps, MOD NOTE POST 101

So many of us have garmins or similar GPS watches. So when racing I'm sure most of us use them, so what if in this thread you put a link to your GPS recorded race. We could do it in month format and then under the month put down the race. The reason for this is obvious to me, most likely the same race will be on again next year and if it's your first time doing it, you could come on to this thread, search under month and then pick your desired race which will give you the course profile including start and finish. I recently went to a Bohermeen 5k and was quite lucky to find it.
Example

Jan
New years day,Tom Brennan 5k
South Dublin CC XC, Bhaa
Eircom XC, Bhaa
Feb
Raheny 2 mile series
Dungarvan 10 mile
Mar
Ballycotton 10 mile
MSB 5k, Paddys day
April

May
Three rock, IMRA
June
Dunboyne,civil service 5 mile, Bhaa
July

August

September

October
Rathfarnham 5k

Just an idea and same as usual, just remove the quote tags to add, I hope yous think its a good idea because between us we would cover alot of races

Seems like a top notch idea as far as I can see. Not sure how much I can add to the list, I'll have a look through the library now....

Excellent idea, as usual!

Would suit the Biki better maybe, we need Robin back to sort that stuff out, how dare he put boozing in a tent ahead of our needs!

I could have put the Conn Ultra route up if my stupid battery in my stupid Garmin hadn't gone(OK it was mostly my fault for not flicking the switch when I was plugging it into the charger the night before)

Good idea though Woddle, people are always asking what routes are etc anyway so keeping them all together will be good.

Top idea Mr Woddle - however some of us are technically challenged. Is it easy enough to link Garmin Connect from the basic Garmin Centre that I suspect a lot of us use?

Excellent idea. Knowing Woddle this will turn into a competition the 1000 race thread anyone ? See who can log the most races before the end of the year.

Woddle disqualified from all of the above races for using an illegal feedback device during the races.

I'd find it useful if there were any west of Ireland races included.

Seriously though - good idea, don't have a Garmin so can't contribute, but would definitely find it useful for those smaller races where there isn't a published route.

ha ha. Actually that raises a good point, is this thread specifically for races run in Ireland or are overseas races welcome also ? I'm guessing popular marathons such as Berlin and Rotterdam would be welcomes !
