LanParty.ie 1 - A New Hope



Location: Days Hotel, Park West, Dublin 12

Entrants: 60

Date: 3rd - 5th July - 48 hours (bar is open for the 48 hours for us as well)

The hotel is approximately 100 metres from Park West train station which makes it very easy to get to if you're travelling to Heuston/Connolly station.

Ticket Cost: €30 - prepay

Internet connection: 6mb wireless hotspot and internet LAN connection to be confirmed

Network: Gigabit network

Accommodation: Cheap hotel rooms at €40 per night, 20 per person if sharing.

Requirements: PC + Monitor (Unfortunately we won't have rental PCs/Monitors)
Power Strip
Headphones (no speakers)
Games
Network card
Anti-virus (will need to make sure your PC is virus free before jumping on to our network)

Games:
Counter Strike: Source
Quake 3/QuakeLive
Call of Duty 4
Team Fortress 2
Left 4 Dead
DOTA
Street Fighter 4 (PC)
.........and whatever else you want to play!

**please make sure all your games are the latest versions**

Competitions:
Counter Strike: Source - prize pot will be €500 if 8 teams enter

Street Fighter 4 - prize pot will be €100 if 8 people enter

Unfortunately you can't bring your own drink to the LAN room. What you do in your hotel room is your own business though. Any pints etc bought there can be brought into the LAN room.

The hotel have asked if there's any food/drink that we'd need ordered in for the weekend so if there's anything people feel that we may need stock of just throw your suggestion my way.

I've asked for some slabs of coke and red bull already.
