People block their plates so

a) nobody knows the lic no, thus cant find out your address, thus can't rob it.

b) To make sure nobody from the insurance underworld sees your car after mentioning the crash you just had... etc

Presumably you mean registration number: How exactly would you find someone's address from their registration. Have you got access to sekrit underworld tools?

Also, why have you got "Escalade Rims" on the front splitter of a Civic?

Yes, as above. Never post your reg plate on a public forum, especially on here! I certainly won't do it again here after what happened when I was trying to sell my last car. A nice fellow boardser (also a mod btw) was going to ring revenue and get them to come and seize my car (right after destroying my for sale thread and getting it deleted) which was on GB plates even though it wasn't been driven on public roads.

All because he was ill informed about the condition of the car from some idiot who thinks he's a specialist in Bray who never even looked under the bonnet.
Anyway, for your info the car sold outside of Boards for the asking price (where I wouldn't try and sell a car ever again after the above experience) and the buyer was extremely happy with his purchase. Car never gave him any trouble whatsoever.

Car cloning is a big problem in the UK and as such folk are nervous. Less of an issue here TBH.
