Have you noticed the way people that wear Abercrombie are mainly girls who wear too much makeup, fake tan, those awful Ugg boots etc.(fidiots) ; guys who play Rugby and follow Brian O Driscoll as a God and wanabees and associates of these two groups.
Oh change the record...is this minority ruining your life?! Breaking into your houses at night and smearing you with fake tan?!? Abusing you on the street waving bottles of Heino and Louis V handbags...no. Give it a rest.

tbh that crap about 'abercrombie = us dunnes stores' is total ****e. look at the abercrombie website. hello! isn't their slogan like, casual luxury or something? and what's dunnes, like cheap clothing for knackers or something (actually i've nothing against dunnes... it's just it's definately a different target market than abercrombie). in the us, abercrombie is for preppy teenagers and students as something to coordinate their rainbow flipflops and seven jeans with. the main reason it's popular here is because of 1) its association with rich east coast america and 2) the fact you have to be rich enough to holiday in america to buy it. just like the gap, ralph lauren and tommy hilfiger used to be.

those last two posts are quite possibly the snobbiest posts i've ever read on boards. Shrimps post amounts to racism and mentalimplosion, slagging Dunnes clothing off is going to get you nowehere, makes you look like a snobby rich kid who always got everything, bad idea. I wear dunnes and Penneys clothes as well as many others, just because they're not made by blind kids in sweatshops doesn't make them any less precious or vlauable.

from what i can gather Mentalimplosion was giving extremes of both. Ambercrombie is for the incredibly welathy and Dunnes is for Joe Bloggs. Neither of which are true

Surely you can see past the name on the clothes to the clothes themselves?

Brand name doesn't mean bad clothes
Designer label doesn't mean good clothes.

misquoting somebody is going to get YOU nowhere. a fair proportion of my clothing come from dunnes, definately more than come from the likes of abercrombie and ralph lauren. abercrombie IS a different market from dunnes.... just feel the fabric or examine the stitching on a dunnes tshirt versus an abercrombie one. sometimes there is a reason why dunnes in cheap and abercrombie expensive and sometimes, itisn't purely related to snobbiness.

Minority???? They are a majority here in the southside.... You should try going to Stillorgan on a Saturday..

And they don't "ruin my life" but elitism annoys me and to see human beings with such potential wasting their lives worrying about fashion, makeup and boyfriends saddens me. The sad truth is that 90% of these will never amount to anything great and will just marry some rich guy.

And good for them. Concentrate on your own aspirations, and stop sounding like a jealous twat.
The sad truth, as you refer to it, is that in this country these southside elitist will more than likely achieve far beyond the average joe, for the rest of their lives, aided by expensive educations, clothes and contacts.

Stillorgan on a Saturday night is a kip. Full of scumbags.

As for your lamentations that 90% of those women will never amount to anything great, I'd say far more than 90% of people never amount to anything great, regardless of their priorities or social status.

You are also aware, I hope, of the irony of your statement about elitism. Disliking someone because of their appearance and thinking you are better than them to a certain extent, well that's elitism, isn't it? It's what you are doing, but it's what you seem to accuse these people of doing too.

Well I'm more of an idealist than an elitist.....

man, life is such a paradox.........

I find it hilarious when people who are so against abercrombie get so worked up when an attack is directed at them. I love the hypocrites and the ignorant, it makes everything so much fun. (Wait for the backlash)

Exactly. Overpriced they may be (what isn't?), but it's great quality clothing
