Looking for a favour (Cork City)

How are we going. Im coming to ye today in search of renting a classic car (and driver).Basically, I've the debs coming up on the 5th of september and Im looking to get a lift in something a bit different than the usual wedding type of Rolls Royce or big Merc from my house down to the hotel. Its only about 3 miles of a trip from Donnybrook down to the Rochestown Park hotel so it wont be too strenuous. Would be ever so gratefull if anyone can help me out and i'll sort you out aswell with a few bob. Ideally id like something like a 4 door Escort, E30 Beemer or Kadett but id consider anything available really

Thanks,
Cian

Hey there, surely theres someone in the Cork area who has a classic car sitting in the garage who'd like to take it out for a run on a Wednesday evening and get the petrol covered. If you can help me or if you have contact details for anyone with a classic please dont hesitate to PM me ASAP.

I think you'd want to be a regular on here to be taken seriously tbh. Unless you know somebody to some extent I don't think you're going to get any any takers. I know I wouldn't just arrive at someones house with my classic car like you're expecting anyway. Good luck anyway though.

Im more of a lurker on here really reading through threads rather than posting really so ye wouldnt know me. I was let down by someone I know hence why im up here looking for someone. I u derstand your view but im just holding out a slim home really. Im not in a bad neighbourhood or up some awful back road covered in pot holes so that helps. Just hoping someone might use it as an excuse to give they're car a run out and let me throw them a few bob to cover the petrol and stuff

When people hear that you are going to the debs it might put them off, they think drunk teens everywhere.

Seeing as this is only for the start of the night Id be fair sure there'd be any drunk teens around at that stage. Besides, im one of the people running the whole thing so ill be at the hotel before most of the others anyway

You're unlikely to get anyone to do this for you.
The main problem is insurance, SPSV hackney/limo licence.
The taxi regulator has been doing spot checks for unlicenced operators at weddings, debs. etc.
