Family Fun Day - Tramore Valley Park (aka "the dump") Sat Aug 25th

Family Fun Day planned for Tramore Valley Park (previously Kinsale Road Landfill site) this Saturday Aug 25th. Free Admission.

The council will be outlining its plans for the site.

"The events planned include; Market Stalls, Sports, incl. football and boules and various sporting events with medals presented, Rally Car display, Electric Cars & Bicycles display, Historian talk, Wild Life Expert, Rumleys Open Farm Animals, Viewing from Top of Hill, Marquee, FacePainting and other children's activities.
Transport around the site by open-top bus to see the site including the wetlands area and advice on development proposals"

good to see the site being slowly offered out to the public. Don't they (the council) have plans to create a walking/running path (around 5km distance) there also? I know they ran a race there last year but it was still a little rough around the edges then.

The plans they have for the place are pretty ambitious! I was at the race last year & must admit was hoping it would be open in some fashion at least by now.

We had better not hold our breaths for this to happen especially considering that Zones H2, F,G,G1 and H1 are not even in the City Council's jurisdiction.

i thought they were extending the existing boundary to bring douglas/grange into the city?
