The're not bad solutions , thanks sol. Even having some obsidian pipes to suck up any dropped items would fix it.

As for the fire damage, that might have been left on after we did the server migration, We'll have to look it up

LOL! Can't believe I forgot about obsidian pipes, especially given how I use them myself!

I have persistently reminded people to lock chests and doors. I even made a custom lockette config for all the EE stuff.

Lockette should stop zombles breaking wooden doors too afaik.

It doesn't, can't remember what extra plugin was used on the Boards 1.2 server, on this one locked wooden doors still get popped, I gave up trying to protect my mineshaft against zombie attacks back at the beginning as I was having a hard enough job just keeping the front door on before I upgraded it

I had assumed it did. I'll look into the anti-zombie-breaking-doors plugin.

I play on the server with 5 others but lockette only supports 3 names on a sign so we don't lock chests.

So is this full Tekkit 3.1.2 i.e. no mods disabled? Also, what extra plugins are used?

No mods are disabled at the minute though some Equivalent Exchange items have been disabled.

Nukes (the block that makes big holes) - self explanatory.
Catalytic Lens - Block breaking
Destruction Catalyst - Block breaking
Hyperkinetic Lens - Block breaking
Mercurial Eye - Spamming materials
Ring of Ignition - Lots of fire

Volcanite Amulet - Spam lava
Nova Catalyst - Huge explosion
Nova Cataclysm - Huge explosion
Infernal Armor - Spammable explosions
