Masters Deposit

So I got offered my Masters, and accepted it. But I have deferred exams I still need to pass. The trouble is, PAC and DCU are telling me that I have to pay my non-refundable deposit (€500) by the 14th of this month, and my exams are the 13th, 14th and 15th. So I won't know if I can do it until mid September.

Basically, in the unlikely event that I fail any of them, is there any way of getting this deposit back? I know they say non-refundable, but I can't really afford to be throwing €500 away, and I'm hoping they've made exceptions in the past, if only to put my mind at ease. If anyone has experience of this I'd appreciate their input.

That is the plan . I still prefer to have a safety net of some kind though, just eases the pressure.
