BreakTaker is a lightweight application for Windows that reminds you to take breaks while working on your computer.

By encouraging you to take short breaks at regular intervals, BreakTaker can increase your overall productivity and can alleviate common workplace injuries resulting from fatigue, eye strain, and repetitive stress injury.

As a younger man I recall playing Black and White for about 12 hours straight, everytime I turned around, another 2 hours had passed and it wasn't until I realised I had been playing the game for about 10 of those hours that I was starving. Quite possible.

Not popular to blame gaming - and I don't really want to - but there is merit in suggesting that I would love someone to do their neuroscience phd on what physiological factors may be involved with your higher brain being so stimulated that you stop receiving signals from your bodily functions?

I've gotten caught up in games before, and have missed meals before. I've never gotten so caught up in games that i've died of starvation. I don't care how addictive the game is, if you don't realise that playing a game for 40 hours (with no breaks) straight is bad for you, there's something seriously wrong with you. It's not the games fault.

I had plenty of long stints playing games, but my body will eventually tell me that i'm hungry, need a slash, thirsty, etc. Can't understand how someone will go 40 hours without at least a small break.

I wonder is there beds in these private rooms? It's odd like, I'd near put all the blame on the Cafe for letting someone rent a room for 2 days....

I wonder how many people died from drink/drug binges in the same week the gamer died. Of course, they don't make headlines. Sensationalist rubbish is all.
