had a call fron the revenue office in galway regarding incapacitated child credit, i'm now deemed eligible so they are gonna refund me for the last 4 years. i was taken aback by the amount i was getting on the refund and forgot to ask how long it would be before i recieved the cheques. so does anyone know how long its taking these days?

If they have your bank details on file, the refunds issue automatically to your bank account within 3 working days of a review being processed. If there's no bank details on file then the refunds issue by cheque to the address on file for you within 5 to 10 working days.
A certain percentage of all refunds can be subject to a secondary level of checking which will obviously delay them by up to several weeks in some cases.

i would say its gonna be a few weeks then as the refund is nearly 5 figures!!!!
