Obstacle racer says he can break 2 hours in the marathon.

RW article stolen from Letsrun.

Hobie Call reckons he can run a sub 2 hour marathon if he gets the funding to implement his training regime. Seems to me like he is a mix between a complete nutcase and a massive self publicist.

Entertaining stuff anyway.

Saw this before. his "2.16" PB is also interesting when you see the course profile of race he ran it on

Every single one of his PB times were downhill, or he did a large rounding down on the time claiming to have forgotten it.

I think he can do it, once the gradient is right!

Come to think of it, I think we all can do it, once the gradient is right!

That whole interview is hilarious. His response to every challenge is 'i can run a mile with a heavy vest on'. Complete nutcase but a good laugh.

It all sounds very eccentric to say the least. Best of luck to him but I don't think we will be hearing about him again any time soon.

I do kinda love the brazenness of the man. Personally, I ran across the room in a couple of seconds which translates to a 1:15 marathon. I'll post the Fundit link when I set it up...

Nonsense of course, but I'd love to see him try.
