Hi,

I'm currently in the market for a new TV and have identified two reasonably priced LG's. The thing is one is Plasma (e629) and the other is LED (e699). I know it's a divisive subject since both technologies have their respective fans.

I'm aware of the fundamental differences like picture quality is superior on a Plasma and LED's consume less electricity, etc.

I'm just looking for suggestions on which TV might be the superior model in terms of all round quality and longevity. The Plasma has a 50" screen but the screen resolution is superior on the LED.

Any suggestions and advice appreciated.

this is far away from Full HD and 1080p(1920x1080)

these are both mediocre TVs these days, probably made few years ago. I guess I'd add another e100 and get something made recently with proper HD.

Ok, what would you suggest is Full HD specs?

just browsing Argos website you can find models with full HD starting at e700, for example:
51" Samsung plasma at argos @729
or 3d model @739
I'm no expert, but keep in mind if you want a 50 inch tv then get full HD

The 3D model is not Full HD though.

Resolution 1365 x 768 pixels.

I've got the 50" one and it's a great tv. Very happy with it

I haven't seen the 47" one in action though so can't offer a comparison.

I've just checked the specs and the 47" LED is actually Full HD (1920 x 1080 Resolution) Seems to be a typo on the Harvey Norman website.

The lv 350 is not a 100hz panel
