The worst you can say about Wells is that he won a soft 100m medal due to the boycott. However you can only beat the athletes you face and Wells was a worthy Olympic Champion.
Cheap attempts to discredit him will achieve little 32 years later!! |

admittedly the americans werent there but what a lot of people dont know is that silvio leonard who got silver behind Wells went into the games with a pb of 9.98 which was faster than any of the 3 americans ( Harvey Glance Stan Floyd & Mel Lattany ) pbs who were to represent the us in moscow. another point many people don't know is that Wells went on to race the americans immediately following moscow defeating all 3.
