Sports & Lesiure - soccer skills

Can anybody give me information about this course at GTI? Any idea how many places there are on it or how much competition there is to get a spot? It says "Leaving Cert" on the list of requirements but what does that mean? Just pass the whole thing? When would somebody apply for a place on next year's course 2013-2014?

Thanks

Sorry about my messy above post. I'm on the android but also forgot to mention you need to be mentally tough a bit at the same time. We had this sound lad from Clare in our squad for the two years. We were full sure this lad was going to go pro after the course finished. V. Impressive in first year, looked the part but lost his way a bit in second year. Got dropped for a couple of games and seemed to lose his confidence. He looked just average in second year. Dont know what happened him. Its not all+about+skill+and+pace+i+suppose.+Anyway+all+the+best+with+it.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I was actually asking for my son. He has applied now and hopefully will hear soon about an interview. Do you happen to remember what kind of questions they ask at the interview? I would imagine it's along the lines of "why do you want to do this course?" etc If I could also ask, what are you doing with your qualification from the course in Cork, did you use it as a stepping stone to a college course or just in it's own right?

I applied for the level 6 and got accepted but turned it down.

Things like, "why do you want to apply for this course?", "what is your footballing ability?", "what direction would you like to go after the course?", your normal questions really.
There's also a fitness and skills test involved.

Mars Bar - do you know what's involved in the fitness and skills test?

I didn't get to do it coz I was injured at the time. Also, being female meant that I wasn't going to be playing in the team so fitness wasn't hugely important for my application.

I guess it's your laps and drills and stuff like that.
