It's supposed to be a realistic zombie apocalypse simulator, you're asking for crosshairs off and names off but third person on? It should only be first person perspective if you're aiming for realism.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm aiming for fun. Anything involving zombies is never going to be realistic to me.

Names off preferably for me, don't mind crosshairs and in two minds about third person. It can be good when you need to scope out an area without giving away your position (aka proning and overlooking a widearea if you are up high) but it also gives others the same advantage. So either way if it 3rd person stays on or off it won't bother me

Posting this here as well as the main forum :

"Guys would suggest that you adjust the time so that it doesnt turn night till say around 00:00 or so rather than earlier in the evening.

If guys are out at work etc they will never get to play the game during the daytime. This is allowed by the mod devs, night time can be anytime on your server, but you must have night time.

Would seem alot of players agree. Not against the night time play, but feel that its more fun during the day. "

It's definitely a good idea. As fun as night can be, it can also be a pain in the ass and it's much easier playing when it's light. Set it to 4-5 hours back and it should be fine.

if u could start out with a torch or a road side flair, night time would be fine but to spawn in the middle of nowhere, pitch dark, what you suppose to do?

And if you dig a little deeper, Rocket says it's perfectly fine to set the time at say, GMT-5, as long as you keep it that way. http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread....41132#pid41132

It's servers trying to make it permaday that are the problem because it messes up the loot/zombie respawn scripting (as he says 2 posts above the one I linked).

Is the server on 1.5.8 now, or 1.5.8.2?
Don't want to join unless its on the .2 version so I don't get an infection too quickly.
