NAS

I am just wondering how devices can pull off a nas at any one time and network is not a problem as i have cat 6 running around the house

The network probably has far greater bandwidth than the R/W rate of the NAS device so the NAS rather than the network will more than likely be the bottleneck if there are any performance issues.

I understand that i just cant seem to get any actually figure about these nas.......as the one i am thinking of buying has 2 3TB hard drives in it and run at 10'000rpm

Check the Seagate and WD websites, all those SATA disks tend to have the same data transfer speed for a given rotational speed.

I trust you'll be running two disks in RAID-1 mode?
