Prehistoric Panda Proves Paternity Point

Agriarctos beatrix, which has been identified by 11 million year old fossil teeth found in Spain, appears to be the ancestor (or at least closely related to it) of the modern giant panda of China.

Well well, the panda bear thus happens to be one of the few things not invented in China. Who knew?

PS- Is this alliteration in the thread title thing a new requisite to the board?
