I've been forking out cash at the motorway tolls long enough and think it's time to sort out getting a tag. I see that I can get one from eflow for a monthly rental of €1.23. They offer a discount on the M50 toll but I rarely use this particular toll so was wondering do they offer discounts elsewhwere also??

Is eflow the best/cheapest option??

Hi CF6,

eFlow tags work on all tolls in the Republic of Ireland but we just look after the M50 and we offer a €1.00 reduction on M50 tolls for people who avail of our tag. As you correctly say, the fee for the tag is €1.23 per month (including VAT). For frequent users of the M50 toll (e.g. 3+ journeys per month for a standard car) this is the better value option.

For infrequent users of the M50 toll, we offer the video account, which involves no tag (just the licence plate being read by camera as normal) and reduces the toll by 50 cent. This is only for the M50 (all the other tolls require a tag because they have barriers) and there is no monthly cost for it.

Really only looking for a tag in order to use the other tolls quicker.

Anybody know if there is a cheaper way of obtaining a tag?? i.e a monthly charge that is less or does not exist at all??

No problem CF6 - if you decide to register for a tag with eFlow, you can do so at www.eflow.ie
