Car damage - Any come back

Hi,

Not sure where to put this, mods might be able to move somewhere more suitable???

Two issues:

Basically i've put my car through the NCT twice, failed the second time on stuff not highlighted in the 1st test, I questioned this and the guy just changed the subject (was quite rude too). I've been advised by my mechanic this was damage done by an accident, not something that "happened" and that it should have been picked up on the 1st test. Is there any point making a complaint to the NCT office?

Secondly, the damage mentioned can only be a result of an accident a couple of years ago when a guy drove straight in to the back of me. So it turns out the work must not have been done properly. I claimed through the other parties insurance. Would I have any come back? With the insurance company or the garage?

Any advice would be appreciated. I've a feeling I could be banging my head off a brick wall but it's a very frustrating situation.

What does the fail sheet say, exactly, word for word.
On another note, always do the retest on time, it can save a lot of hassle.
