dublin bus says that you can get the following buses

61 which goes from d'oiler street to whitechurch so you'd have to walk the remainder of the way

116 from the burlington hotel to whitechurch

161 from dundrum luas to whitechurch

none seem to go directly to the school

go to dublinbus.ie and have a look or if you are driving then they have the directions on their webpage but no mention of a bus route

Pretty sure the 161 (http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/your-jour...imetables/161/) goes by once in a blue moon. Also the 16 (http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/your-jour...Timetables/16/) and walk through Marley Park etc.

161 would leave with a bit of a walk. 16 is your best bet, it leaves a 15/20 minute walk. 14 would leave a significant walk.

Stop 2971 is the handiest stop to get off the 16, then walk around the perimeter of Marlay Park.

Incorrect - the 161 terminus is beside the entrance to St Columbas at the junction of Kilmashogue Lane and Tibradden Road.

OP there are two journeys outbound and three inbound on route 61 Monday/Friday that go from D'Olier Street to Tibradden (marked "r" in the timetable) beside the entrance to the college.

Then there are a limited number of trips on route 161 between Dundrum and Tibradden which terminate at the same location.

Otherwise route 16 is your best bet operating 7 days a week at a relatively high frequency - get off at the stop after Ballinteer St John's GAA Club, walk back towards the club, cross over the road, take the first left (Grange Road), then first right (College Road), and finally turn left under the M50 bridge and left again.

Walking time from 16 would be about 20/25 minutes.

Otherwise the 14 and 75 will bring you to Superquinn Ballinteer which is about 5-10 minutes more of a walk.

Sorry from looking at the DB map of the route it looked a good bit away from the entrance to the school.

The maps are wrong - they miss the final stops at Tibradden.
