Deadwood David Milch

Surprised to see nothing here for Deadwood. I was expecting pages of time squandered on praise for what is, I think, the best television show ever.
Serious scriptwriting quality. Stellar acting, not one bad actor in the plethora of well rounded characters.
Unfortunately it got cancelled in it's third season. Not because it sucked, but because of all the usual money related ****. Sad. Still though, worth the watch even if they never got a chance to finish it.

I just finished the box set - amazing show.

Sometimes I had to watch it with subtitles on to get what was being said but amazinf nonethless.

Al Swearengen must be one of the best characters ever.

The way season three finishes was pretty criminal though!

Even for a season finale.

One of the best ever. You could smell the dirt and manure. Fantastic character development. Probably not soap opera enough for the networks. I miss it still...
Prime suspect US got canned too... Great show.
And Detroit 187
And south lands has an uncertain future.
I miss quality tv

good to see people are watching, the finish is a bit tits, i wont say much in case i wreck it for someone, ***spoiler job***but it was canned because it cost too much to make, didn't seem to matter how good it was, so know they'll never finish it. they were talking of doing a movie or two to finish the story up but then they took the sets down, so, no dice. what a filthy cliffhanger.***spoiler job***

One of the best shows ever. Love it.

Al is one of the best characters in tv. Him and Ari Gold in Entourage!

I couldn't agree more for both points.Ian McShane was fantastic as Al,every scene he was in I loved and I'm onto season 3 with Entourage, very easy to watch,Ari Gold is the star.
On a side note 1 of my friends dances like this when he's had a few

Finished watching this last night and absolutely loved it . In the " great shows cancelled prematurely " category I would put it second to Firefly .

Knew somebody else would say this.

I downloaded them, got to the last season and just stopped with around 5 episodes left.

The amount of times I sat through a scene, could clearly hear the words but not understand what was being said was headwrecking.
The audio quality was fine, I could hear the words.... but just couldn't understand what was said. Kind of a hard one to describe to someone when telling them about it.

Might try find subtitles online and restart it as it kind of ruined it.
