Meteor/eMobile Midband Gone in Carlow & Wicklow

I have Meteor Midband and usually it is fast enough for my needs but recently in carlow there has been numerous outages due to DNS issues and loss of 3G coverage, there was an outage the other day which lasted several hours and was resolved quickly enough.

This morning though the outage looks more serious with meteor saying it may be the end of the day or even tomorrow before there is any progress but that they are working on the problem.

has anyone else in or outside the area noticed their broadband is useless as it is restricted to 2G?

Gone all over the country according to technical support/customer care, and no idea when it willl be back, signed up for real broadband last night, i have had enough of the tiny download allowance as well as outages and slowish speeds. it is twice the cost but if i cancel my meteor bill pay phone as well it will be worth it!

Their Customer Care team informed me also that its currently down nationwide, seems like an authentication issue as the device is picking up strong signal from the mast but when I try to connect its responding with "Connection Terminated"
I have found this service excellent up until now with no issues, I signed up for month to month contract, first year at 10euro and 20GB monthly allowance.

Hope it comes back up soon!

How did you get this offer ? I'm paying 25 P/M
I'm a bit confused - if it's month to month (ie no fixed length contract) what's with the "first year at" ?

http://www1.meteor.ie/mobilebroadband/billpay/

They refer to it on their website as BillPay 30 day contract, €20.32 per month, 20GB traffic allowance.. They were doing an offer on it recently were you get first 12 months half price so €10.16 per month, thats the one I've signed up to!
