And to say that Baines is better than Cole is in my opinion, simply ridiculous. I don't know anyone who likes Cole in any way, but the bottom line is he is an excellent player and amongst the world's best. Baines is good but not on Cole's level.

Could be their year. Not is. This is the bit that you guys always seem to miss.

England go into tournaments trying to win them. Ireland should as well. Otherwise what is the point of turning up? If the expectation was to win then Terry Venables and Bobby Robson wouldn't have been national heroes after making semi finals.

England are miles behind Spain, Germany and Holland. But these are knock-out cup competitions. All 16 teams in the Euros have a chance of winning them.

Personally I believe they've got into the pysche of the nation and are responsible for the amount of chokers in big sports that they have.

I've always rated the guy but I think he has been poor this season. I haven't seen enough of Baines to make any judgement about him.

Cole is disliked for sure, for the most part for nabbing Cheryl and then partly for other stuff.

He probably won't do particularly well because England are no where near as good as they think they are. Regardless of how he does though, he is going to be hung, drawn and quartered by 'Arry's mates in the press.

Why would they take it off Scott Parker? He seems the most certain player to start imo.

Posts like this make me wonder how posters know about egos of players and inside knowledge of workings of FA and Harry Redknapp decisions?
